Dropbox co-founder and CEO Drew Houston met with Y Combinator President Sam Altman last week, to talk about what it takes to build a business like Dropbox. “You’re on this treadmill,” Drew explains. “Every day you have to do everything you were doing yesterday just as well or better, and then you have a bunch of new stuff to deal with,” Drew adds. “When you're used to getting As, that's a humbling thing." One of the insights he shares is that, "your job as CEO changes every six months, every year, every couple years. Nobody tells you that. In fact, some of the things that made you good at the prior stage become a hindrance for the next stage."

Last week, Drew participated in a Q&A session on Quora, to answer questions about what’s next for Dropbox, lessons he learned about scaling a company, and important books for fledgling founders to read. You can find the full Quora session here.
