We’re proud to share today that Dropbox has received a perfect score on the Corporate Equality Index for the sixth year in a row and been designated a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality” by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). This is the leading report in the US that recognizes workplaces with policies and practices that support LGBTQ equality. Scores are calculated based on a company’s performance in the following categories:

  • Non-discrimination policies
  • Employment benefits
  • Demonstrated organizational competency and accountability around LGBTQ diversity and inclusion
  • Public commitment to LGBTQ equality
  • Responsible citizenship

“These companies know that protecting their LGBTQ employees and customers from discrimination is not just the right thing to do—it is also the best business decision,” said HRC President Alphonso David. “Many of these leaders are also advocating for the LGBTQ community and equality under the law in the public square. Businesses understand their LGBTQ employees and customers deserve to be seen, valued, and respected not only at work, but in every aspect of daily life.”

"Receiving 100% on the Corporate Equality Index is a point of immense pride for us at Dropbox,” said Danny Guillory, Head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. “It underlines the commitment from all Dropboxers to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment. We are excited to again be a part of the Human Rights Campaign's efforts to ensure workplace equality for everyone.”

In addition to our ongoing community partnerships, Pride weekend volunteer activities with Larkin Street Youth Services, and our LGBTQ employee resource group’s ongoing efforts and programs, we launched self-identification for gender identity and sexual orientation in our HR systems this year. Dropbox has also been recognized as a Best Workplace for Diversity by Fortune and Great Place to Work.
