After four great years at Dropbox, Yamini Rangan is stepping down as our Chief Customer Officer. In her time here, she’s helped scale our customer and partner facing functions to drive even more focus on our customers’ needs.
Yamini joined us in 2016 to lead our business, strategy, and operations teams. Under her leadership, the team scaled our revenue operations and established critical functions to help us serve some of our biggest customers, including bringing a more data-driven approach to our sales strategy. In her role as Chief Customer Officer, she brought together all our customer-facing functions—including sales, marketing, and customer experience—to ensure we kept our customers top-of-mind as we grew. She’s built a strong leadership team along the way, setting up the unified organization for future success. Yamini has made a big impact on our business, and we’re grateful for the rigor she’s brought to Dropbox over the last four years.
With Yamini’s departure, we’ll be replacing the CCO role with a Chief Operating Officer to help take us into our next phase of growth, and expect to have more to share on that front early in the new year. Recently, Bharat Mediratta and Timothy Young joined us to lead our engineering, product, and design teams as we execute on our vision for the smart workspace. And this fall, Karen Peacock and Lisa Campbell joined our world-class board, bringing their expertise in building and scaling successful global brands. We have a great team in place to lead us forward, and we’re excited about the opportunity ahead.
