We’re proud to share that Dropbox has received a perfect score on the Corporate Equality Index for the seventh year in a row and has been designated a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality” by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). HRC works to ensure that all LGBTQ people, particularly those of us who are trans, people of color, and HIV+, are treated as full and equal citizens around the world.

This is the leading report in the US that recognizes workplaces with policies and practices that support LGBTQ equality. Scores are calculated based on a company’s performance in the following categories:

  • Non-discrimination policies
  • Employment benefits
  • Demonstrated organizational competency and accountability around LGBTQ diversity and inclusion
  • Public commitment to LGBTQ equality
  • Responsible citizenship

“From the previously unimaginable impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, to a long overdue reckoning with racial injustice, 2020 was an unprecedented year. Yet, many businesses across the nation stepped up and continued to prioritize and champion LGBTQ equality,” said Alphonso David, Human Rights Campaign President. “This year has shown us that tools like the CEI are crucial in the work to increase equity and inclusion in the workplace, but also that companies must breathe life into these policies and practices in real and tangible ways.”

"The Corporate Equality Index is something that we use as a measure of success, and that continues to raise the bar on what creating an inclusive organization means,” says Danny Guillory, Head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Dropbox. “We are proud to stand alongside many of our peers in participating and growing diversity, equity and inclusion across all industries.”
