Dropboxers participate in Community Day ahead of move to new Mission Bay HQ
Published on May 22, 2019
Earlier this month, hundreds of Dropboxers participated in Mission Bay Community Day, a day-long event to get acquainted with the neighborhood we’ll be moving into later this year. It was a great opportunity for everyone to see the new HQ, support local businesses, and volunteer in the community.
Dropboxers donated more than a hundred toys to Family House, a home away from home that provides physical comfort and emotional support for families of children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. We partnered with Fire Station 4 to deliver the toys in one of their fire trucks. Dropboxers also teamed up with Seven Stills Brewery & Distillery and the Department of Public Works to pick up trash around several blocks of the neighborhood.
Along with the events, Community Day was also a chance to think about how we can have a positive presence in the Mission Bay neighborhood and beyond. We talked to some Dropboxers about what it means to be a good neighbor and the importance of contributing to the community. Here’s what they had to say.
