Android Dropbox does NOT work on LG Ally... non-functioning for download to the phone... I use it flawlessly on my iPad and my macbook, but the android version is CRAP!

There it is - the tools to port Dropbox to WebOS. :-)

Now all you need is the WebOS app. Dropbox sounds great, but unfortunately is of no use to me until there's a WebOS app. I held out for the best phone OS, now we just need the great app makers to get on board this phenonenal OS - especially now that HP has bought it and is destined to appear on a broad variety of devices in the not too distant future...

While I'm convinced DropBox is the best thing since sliced bread and that the people working on it are children touched by the hand of god and are, in fact, beings of pure light and love, I just have this one little nagging question of whether or not somewhere in the DropBox EULA there is a paragraph that says that anything anyone ever puts in a DropBox automatically becomes DropBox's property which they can then exploit until the end of eternity and use in any way they can up to and certainly including the development of nuclear weapons and stealing any recipes the DropBox management happens to have a sweet tooth for.

I just got this for my iPad. I can drag files from my laptop and find them on my iPad, but I can't figure out how to add files from my iPad to the dropbox (specifically Pages). Does anyone know how?

This is great and all however what about adding new functionality for existing PC/OSX users? Where is the ability to stream content? Where are the Photo galleries? How about Rsync or similar type service for home NAS backup?

The images previews in the app store show a dialog to open a file in Pages. I see nothing in the developer API about support fort that.

One thing I do not particulary like about current version is the lack of possibility to upload any other files than listed in the upload menu. I have a folder which is monitored by my BitTorrent client and when I'm away and want to have something downloaded I just put it there. But the new client won't let me upload :(

I'm confused about the iPad app, as I downloaded this a couple of weeks ago. Is this an update being announced? There is no update in the App Store.

Disappointing that the app hasn't been integrated into Android's great 'share' functionality. I was expecting to see Dropbox appear in the list of apps that I can use to share any file, photo etc. As others have commented, it's a pain to have to specifically open the Dropbox app, rather than just taking a photo/video and selecting share via Dropbox (or Facebook, Twidroid etc etc). It also means that I can't use Dropbox with other apps that support sharing, such as Mobisle Notes.

Good work, just a quick question though. When you were previewing the release in a previous blog post if you took a photo you had the option to share to Dropbox. I don't see that on my Desire. Did that make it to the release meaning my phone's to blame or was that feature dropped?

Would definitely be useful, having to take photos within Dropbox is not so convenient.

It's sad that my HTC Tattoo (Android 1.6) can't use it. I can't find the dropbox app in the Market !!

Awesome to see, and as mentioned before, it would be nice to have a barcode/QR Code on the Android screen so I can make sure that I get the official app. As you might imagine, I'm a little paranoid about entering my credentials into just any app that has access to my files.

Great addition to my HTC Desire. I wish the photos would automatically upload to the photo directory though, annoying having to change to the folder you want to upload to.

So, given that, why have you released an iPhone app before a Blackberry, particularly when you consider a Blackberry's most likely to be used by business people and thus Dropbox integration is probably going to be of more interest to them?

Oh great, yet another developer who forgot to enable QVGA support when placing the app on the market... Kudos dropbox, now I can't use your application!

All it is is a browser. Yes, it downloads files you open to your SD card, but why doesn't it sync everything like the desktop client? Pretty pointless if you ask me.

I only have a 2GB SD-card, and my Dropbox is filled with 2,8GB so I'm pretty happy that it doesn't want to sync everything.

Very great!! It's almost perfect but it doesn't bring what I desired the most: To automatically sync some files (or folders) to the android device either automatically (I know this would cost lots of battery), every n hours or at least on demand. This would be helpful for e.g. KeePassDroid which could have always the latest update of my passwords, etc...
