Building the world’s simplest, most powerful collaboration platform

Published on November 04, 2015

Dropbox Open, an event celebrating our business customers, is happening today in San Francisco, and it’s off to a great start this morning. We’re excited to have industry leaders including Salesforce’s Marc Benioff, HP’s Meg Whitman, and Apple’s Eddy Cue joining us at Dropbox Open. And we’re happy to welcome customers from around the globe to talk about where we’ve been and where we’re going. What started as a simple way to access files from anywhere has evolved into a global collaboration platform. Today, Dropbox connects 400 million people and 8 million business across the world through 2.8 billion sharing connections. And we're just getting started. We’re building a platform that has the potential to connect every person, company, and industry. One that brings together the work you do and the people you work with. One that makes working with anyone simple, no matter what tools you’re using. In just a few short years, over 150,000 companies have chosen Dropbox Business to tap into this powerful collaboration platform. And this morning, we made several announcements that underscore how we’ll continue creating richer connections. On top of enhancements to our business product, we introduced Dropbox Enterprise, a new product designed to meet the specific needs of the largest businesses. We also announced the Dropbox Partner Network and new Dropbox Platform capabilities, helping customers bring the power of Dropbox to their organizations. We're doing all of this in service of our mission: to simplify the way people work together. We're really excited about the future of Dropbox, and we look forward to building it with all of you.
