Today we’re excited to announce an important new tool we'll be enabling soon for our customers: Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM). Offered through upcoming partner applications, EMM will allow businesses to give their teams safe access to mobile devices for work. We’re particularly excited about what EMM means for Dropbox for Business customers, as they can benefit from greater mobile security without sacrificing the user experience that they know and love. We’re making this possible through the Dropbox for Business API, which helps companies seamlessly integrate Dropbox for Business into their core IT processes. We launched the Dropbox for Business API with 20 industry-leading partners in December 2014, and we’ve been busy updating the API with key enhancements for enterprise — including the recent addition of capabilities for managing groups and shared folders. We're rolling out EMM with a number of key partners to allow us to support the mobile platforms that teams use most. Partners including AirWatch and MobileIron have already committed to enterprise integrations, which will be available to customers in the coming months. Additionally, we're excited to build a robust EMM ecosystem and will also partner with leading vendors like Okta, Centrify, and EMM Knox to build a robust EMM ecosystem that will support mobile platforms including Apple iOS and Google Android for Work. “Dropbox is continuing to execute on its Dropbox for Business API strategy, enabling best-of-breed integrations and customer choice of solutions,” said Terri McClure, Senior Analyst, Enterprise Strategy Group. “The addition of EMM integrations will enable Dropbox to extend its EFSS capabilities to a broader set of organizations and customer use cases that need secure enterprise mobile management." Over 100,000 companies rely on Dropbox for Business to securely store and share their most important company information, including major organizations like Hyatt, News Corp, Under Armour, and Yahoo!
