Today we're hosting Dropbox Open, an event for our business customers. Our co-founder and CEO, Drew Houston, just finished up his keynote, which included a discussion with Salesforce’s Marc Benioff, and special appearances from customers including National Geographic and News Corp. We also made several announcements about our business, and here are the top five:

  1. Dropbox Enterprise makes its premiere We took the wraps off Dropbox Enterprise, bringing the collaboration solution used by 400 million together with advanced security and controls tailor-made for large organizations. Dropbox Enterprise customers will get deployment support using our new domain management tools, premium integration and development support, an assigned success manager, and user training from product experts. And that’s all layered on top of the features that Dropbox Business customers enjoy.
  2. Dropbox now supports HIPAA-regulated businesses Big news for companies that handle Protected Health Information (PHI): We’re now signing Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) to help customers meet HIPAA and HITECH Act compliance obligations. A BAA signifies we’re taking steps to protect PHI, keeping this data secure and private.
  3. New companies get Dropbox Business Dropbox Business has been growing at a rapid clip, going from 100,000 customers just a year ago to 150,000 today. Expedia, Zillow, and Meredith Corporation are among the latest companies to begin using Dropbox Business. They join News Corp, National Geographic, Macmillan Publishers, Under Armour, and thousands of other customers that are tapping into the collaborative power of Dropbox.
  4. We’re empowering our technology partners... We introduced the Dropbox Partner Network to provide enhanced marketing and support to our technology partners. For solutions providers, this means more of the resources they need, including training, high-touch support, and account management. To kick off this new program, we’ve assigned Premier status to our top 45 technology partners and introduced our new shared folder and shared links APIs.
  5. ...and creating new opportunities for resellers We’re centralizing go-to-market efforts, and providing enablement and support for all types of partners and resellers, including VARs, MSPs, distributors, and more. And we’ve brought Ingram Micro and Synnex on board as distribution resources to make it easier for our resellers to access and purchase our products. Plus, Hewlett Packard Enterprise will be a Dropbox Business reseller. Through these and other partnerships, we now have access to a network of over 400,000 resellers, reaching tens of millions of businesses around the world.
