Drew recently recorded a podcast with Tim Ferriss, author of The 4-Hour Workweek and, most recently, Tribe of Mentors. The conversation focuses on what Drew learned as a startup founder, and how he got up to speed by reading great books. In a telling moment, Drew describes the fear of failure that a young CEO confronts, saying “your instinct will be to run away from that feeling, and what you need to learn to do is run towards it.” He also tells the story of the arduous journey to acquire the dropbox.com domain (spoiler alert, it turned on an obscure bit of copyright law). “Sending that first e-mail from dropbox.com to Paul and Jessica [the founders of Y Combinator] was a huge triumph,” he adds.
